Work-based learning experiences are a valuable component of Health Science programs of study but can be difficult to implement. In addition to barriers like transportation and confidentiality, the global pandemic became a huge obstacle to these student experiences. Join us for a conversation about work-based learning immersion experiences in the healthcare industry and hear about some innovative ways Health Science CTE students can be connected with healthcare professionals in a variety of programs, including in-person, hybrid, and virtual experiences. We will discuss celebrations and challenges and offer some tips for connecting Health Science teachers with healthcare professionals.
