Description: Resources for Engaging Future Medical Assistants: In-Person and Remote Environments
Are you looking for more ways to engage students remotely? This session will feature many free resources we will make available for instructors who teach medical assistant course content. The session includes teaching strategies and resources for soft skill instruction, technical medical assistant skills, how to use medical manikins to teach and anatomical models. Through scenarios, videos, lesson plans and activities, teachers will be armed with many new resources to use in their programs for a variety of learning environments. A few specific areas will be scenario based learning for soft skills, blood pressure, suturing, ECG, phlebotomy, IM injections, bandaging and wound care.
